Take Off

This afternoon when I went out, I found one of the hummingbirds on the ground. The other one was sitting on a branch. I helped the one on the ground back into the nest only to see him take off in flight. They are no longer just in the nest but hopping on the branches and flying. I do not know if they will stay or leave. I have enjoyed watching nature at it's finest. Here are some pictures I took today.

Tight Fit

Do you think their suspicious of me?

Watching the rising of the sun.

They are running out of room in the nest.
Remember it's is only 1-1/2 inches in diameter.

Cozy!

If only we could fly.

Backyard Fruit

This is a variety of fruit in our backyard. I regreat that say that Padme has found some of it. She is getting so big that she can either jump or climb up and get the fruit. The other day I found her stretching up on the tree reaching for the fruit on the lowest limbs. My mom will be glad when her puppy stage is over. It is impossible to watch her every moment.

Grapes

Peaches

Clementines

Apricots

Before They Take Flight

I can't believe how fast they have grown.

They have doubled in size since last week.

There is not much room left in the tiny nest.

Here's a good shot of their feathers.
Their almost ready to take flight.

They are waiting for their mother.
It must be time to eat.

I will miss them when they are gone.
They have been fascinating to watch and study.
