Better Late than Never!

I lost the cord to my camera and was not able to download
these picture to the computer until now.
These are from Summer Camp this past July.

There was a devastating fire
on the mountain about 8 years ago.
The fire came close to destroying the entire camp.

My father has been a Scout leader for me
and each one of my brothers.
He has never missed a chance to be with his Scouting sons.
He is a true Scouter at heart and I take after him.

Notice the snake in the counselor's hand. I was very uncomfortable.

This was one of my favorite areas.
As of now I have 62 Merit Badges and
just recently had my Eagle project approved.
I am well on my way to being an EAGLE SCOUT!

The Great Lanyard Maker

This is my latest past-time. I have never met my grandfather before, (he died before I was born) but among his belongings that we were just recently able to go through my dad found several spools of lacing. I learned how to make lanyards at Scout Camp last year and so my Dad gave the lacing to me. Here are just a few of many that I have had fun making.

This is my MASTERPIECE.

We also found a book with lacing designs and so I am going to try them all.

Happy Birthday Padme!

Padme turned 1 on December 18th and we celebrated

her special day with a few gifts.

She loves her new squeaky soccer ball.

But most of all she loves her new bone.

Look at the size of it.

It is a real cows leg dipped in slop.
She is still enjoying it today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PADME!

Snowflake

Someone was getting rid of this huge teddy bear
so I asked if Padme could have it.
She really loves stuffed animals,
but they don't last very long.

Snowflake was bigger than Padme.

Padme thought it was so cool.
That was one of the reasons
we called the bear, Snowflake.
Of course it was white and that helped too.

She carried around everywhere she went.

Padme would lay her head on Snowflake.

I am sad to say that
Snowflake only lasted for 2 days,
but that is good in comparison to
most of her other stuffed animals.
They only lasted a few minutes.
