My First Scout Camp

I just got back from Boy Scout Camp this past week. I had a wonderful time. My cousin and I spent a lot of time together working hard on merit badges. I earned:
  • Indian Lore
  • Wood Carving
  • Leather work
  • Rifle Shooting
  • Art
  • Environmental Science.

I also received partials in:

  • Camping
  • Personal Management

This is a sign that our troop made for our camp site.

I spent about 4 hours a day working on merit badges
here at the Handicraft area.

Our Scoutmaster was tired of telling everyone
what time it was so he brought up a
clock and hung it on a tree.
Pretty clever!

I found this twisted oak tree.
It had been burned out.

This is how big it is compared to my Dad.

For Environmental Science, I had to do a service
project. I choose to redo this trail.

I really liked these ferns.

Camp was great, I can't wait to go back next year.

  2. I remember hearing about the older boy's camping experiences when we were all younger. It is great that you are finally old enough to enjoy this each year. I am glad you had a good time and learned so many new things! You've got Arianna all excited to become a Girl Scout someday! :)
